Sensor & Communication Products
The sensor and communication products of Alps Alpine expertly incorporate sensing, control, and communication technology, providing “safe spaces” in fields such as the automotive, consumer, and industrial machinery markets. Also, we are engaging in creating new services, such as visually representing to users the information obtained through sensors and thereby helping to resolve issues.


Current Sensors
We have made effective use of the know-how and technology that we have accumulated in the development of various types of sensors to commercialize current sensor modules for battery electric vehicles (BEV). We have successfully miniaturized the product and reduced its weight by applying our proprietary magnetic resistance technology, thereby contributing to the lowering of electricity costs and the achievement of a decarbonized society.

Magnetic Sensors
Magnetic sensors are devices that detect the size, direction and degree of change in the magnetism and geomagnetism that is emitted by magnets and currents, and convert that into electrical signals.
Our small-sized magnetic sensors are made using the proprietary technology that we have developed across many years of experience, and are at use in a wide range of applications such as in contactless switches, as well as angle and direction detection.

Pressure Sensors
Pressure sensors are devices that can detect and convert air or hydro pressure into an electrical signal.
They are used in a wide range of applications due to their compact package construction and excellent waterproof properties.

Millimeter-Wave Sensors
These are the world’s first 60 GHz pulse-type millimeter-wave sensors to receive an engineering design certification in conformance with the domestic Radio Act of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications. The sensor incorporates our proprietary radio wave method and the technology we have accumulated across many years to achieve low power consumption, high sensitivity, excellent close range detection characteristics and the ability to recognize gestures.

- Detection of unattended children in the vehicle interior
- Detection of obstacles in the vehicle’s surroundings (when opening and closing the doors and when stopping or parking the vehicle), and more

Remote Monitoring System for Logistics
This product is a solution that prevents the loss and uneven distribution of carts and pallets used at logistics sites and contributes to improved work efficiency by using IoT. It does not require charging and can be used for 10 years.

Analog Meter Monitoring System
Our company’s Analog Meter Monitoring System can be retrofit for existing meters and uses a sensor to measure the movement of the needle, thereby reducing the number of times someone needs to physically go and read the meter. The system can be used in harsh conditions, such as in extremely damp environments.

Communication Modules
Wireless communication technology is essential to the evolution of next-generation mobility, including ADAS/autonomous driving systems for automobiles. Alps Alpine’s Communication Modules will continue to respond quickly to market trends based on our high-frequency technologies developed over many years and track record of installing components in automobiles.

Capacitive Sensing Modules
With their highly sensitive capacitive sensing detection technology, these modules make intuitive operation possible for applications, from touch input for devices such as smartphones, to touchless input.
Among these, AirInput™ can be operated even in cases such as when a user is wearing gloves, thus making it ideal for situations where contactless input is required.
